The first thing to be aware of is if you sing only using your vocal folds?…In truth your voice feels completely ” unsupported” that means everything happens around your vocal folds and nowhere else.

If you have breathed through your nose…and all your abdominal muscles open and move outward that is a first good sign that you are starting to use your whole body not just your throat. The second sign is being able to keep your whole body from head to toe working continuously to support your singing voice through out your music making.

That takes a different focus and discipline and collaborating  with a  vocal teacher or singing coach is highly recommended. It is a combination of breathing, breath control, physical energy, voice use and body awareness of a high degree.
